Student's Method for Finding LCM

This is how students typically find LCM by hand:

  1. Write the numbers side by side
  2. List multiples of each number in rows
  3. Look for the first common multiple in the same row
  4. Circle the common multiple when found
  5. The circled number is the LCM!
  6. Stop when LCM is found (no need for more rows)
